ESTIMATING CARGO THROUGHPUT AT HAI PHONG’S PORTS IN 2025, 2030

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate results of estimating cargo throughput at Haiphong’s ports, dividing into 3 types of cargo: container, liquid, dry in 2025, 2030. Data of cargo throughput at Haiphong’s ports as well as economic indicators of Northern significant economic zone was collected from 2004 to 2018 to conduct forecasting. Based on the data, the study built up forecasting models, then pointed out the most proper one: multiple regression model. The quantity of cargo throughput at Haiphong’s ports in 2025, 2030 was estimated, including total cargo, container, liquid cargo and dry cargo throughput Haiphong’s ports.
