Bài báo phân tích tác động của thể chế đối với việc thúc đẩy thực hiện ESG tại Tổng công ty Tân Cảng Sài Gòn dựa trên lý thuyết thể chế. Mô hình cấu trúc tuyến tính được sử dụng để phân tích bộ dữ liệu khảo sát lãnh đạo các cấp của Tổng công ty. Kết quả cho thấy áp lực cưỡng chế và áp lực chuẩn mực thúc đẩy việc thực hiện ESG, trong khi áp lực bắt chước có tác động ngược chiều. Nghiên cứu làm rõ rằng việc sao chép mô hình ESG thiếu điều chỉnh bối cảnh có thể làm giảm hiệu quả thực thi. Kết quả góp phần bổ sung bằng chứng thực nghiệm về ESG trong lĩnh vực cảng biển tại Việt Nam.
Abstract
This article examines the impact of institutional factors on promoting ESG implementation at Saigon Newport Corporation, grounded in institutional theory. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is employed to analyze survey data collected from managers at different leadership levels within the Corporation. The results indicate that coercive pressures and normative pressures significantly promote ESG implementation, whereas mimetic pressures exert a negative effect. The study clarifies that uncritical imitation of ESG models without adequate contextual adaptation may undermine implementation effectiveness. These findings contribute additional empirical evidence to the ESG literature in the port sector of Vietnam.
