Abstract

This study introduces an effective optimization method for solving multi-objective optimization problems. The method is based on the Marine Predators Algorithm (MPA), initially developed by Faramarzi et al. in 2020. The MOMPA algorithm, proposed by Zhong and colleagues in 2021, extends MPA by incorporating two critical techniques: An Archive to store the Pareto solution set and a Selection Mechanism to identify the best predator from the Archive. In this research, the MOMPA algorithm is validated using eight benchmark multi-objective test problems and then applied to optimize structural engineering problems. All mathematical problems in this study were implemented and solved using MATLAB.
