Abstract

This paper presents the advantages of the traditional PID controller, overcoming the disadvantages by using the genetic algorithm and the fuzzy controller applied on the speed control system of marine diesel engine. The design algorithm for the object is presented and analyzed in detail. Simulation results on MATLAB®/Simulink® environment have confirmed the efficiency of the proposed controllers.
