Abstract
This paper evaluates the results of the weathering test design of some types of various heat-resistant coatings. It presents the environmental variables and the steps involved in the weathering test design. The main environmental variables include light, temperature and humidity. The tests include laboratory heat-resistant performance testing, outdoor heat-resistant performance testing and outdoor durability testing of decorative and protective properties of heat-resistant coatings. The steps of the laboratory testing and outdoor testing are mentioned in the paper. The sample drying racks, test houses, laboratory equipment and testing tools are described together with the test results. The test results can be used as a reference to select some types of various heat-resistant coatings for offshore projects such as oil and gas pipelines, fuel tanks, warehouses, ship holds, etc…
