Abstract

In contemparory society, many consolidators in Vietnam do not have scientific knowledge about this operation and lack connection with Co-loaders. Some previous studies have only focused on influencing factors or route planning and distributing transport modes in freight consolidation. Therefore, the research team proposed to apply the Bin-packing and Genetic Algorithm to develop an optimal consolidation platform, improving the consolidatio efficiency. This platform is expected to reduce the possibility of cargo damage due to being co-loaded with incompatible shipments; or cargo lost through transshipment port. In addition, this is also the prerequisites for the LCL load planning in export and import by sea.
