Abstract
Recent advances in the development of thermoelectric materials and systems have promoted the application of thermoelectric generators in practice. However, thermoelectric generators are not widely used, especially on marine transport. In this paper, the author proposes the application of thermoelectric generators to recover the waste heat of exhaust gas from RSD 49 project's main engine as a solution to improve the thermal efficiency of the ship’s propulsion plant, at the same time, provide a method to calculate and evaluate the effectiveness of this solution.
