Abstract
This paper conducts experiments to evaluate the efficiency of converting hand garbage vehicles to electric garbage vehicles. Experimental research methods in univercity and on the road are used to evaluate the performance of electric garbage vehicles. Experimental results on a 700W electric garbage vehicle and 48V 20Ah lithium battery in university show that, At a speed of 3 km/h and idling mode, the time and vehicle's travel distance are about 15 hours and 30km, the increasing the load, the lower time and vehicle's travel distance are observed, when the vehicle speed increase (5km/h and 7km/h), the time and travel distance of the vehicle decrease, the load of the vehicle increases. The carry out experiments at Kim Ma, Nui Truc, Giang Van Minh and Nguyen Thai Hoc streets in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, the results show that, the electric garbage vehicles can be carried continuously for a day without having to charge the battery, the electric garbage vehicle operates stably and is well appreciated by environmental workers, helping to reduce labor for workers
