Abstract
Digital transformation is an inevitable development trend of businesses in general and seaport businesses in particular in the context of the fourth industrial revolution. Digital transformation fundamentally changes the way seaport enterprises operate, manage and interact with stakeholders. Resultantly, seaport enterprises can improve their competitiveness. The study evaluated the impact of digital transformation on the competitiveness of Hai Phong seaport enterprises using the fuzzy DEMATEL method. Competitiveness is assessed from the demand-based perspective. The results show that digital transformation has a positive impact on the competitiveness of seaport enterprises. Two factors strongly affected are information transparency, monitoring and tracibility - two important factors that contribute to improving service quality. In addition, it also has a moderate and weak impact on 6 other factors. The research results can serve as the basis for proposing appropriate policies to improve the competitiveness of seaport enterprises.
