Abstract
This paper presents a simulation study on the use of finned pipe to improve the capacity for energy storage of phase change materials (PCMs) in thermal accumulators by numerical method. Simulating results show that using finned pipes has the ability to store the heat of 2kJ with heat storage capacity is 0.139W, 173% and 213% higher than the 4 fins - tube (0.121W) and the plain tube (0.044W), respectively.
