Abstract

In this research, the influence of nickel on microstructure and shape memory effect of two samples of CuAl9Fe4 and CuAl9Fe4Ni2 were investigated by using the optical microscope, EDS, XRD, SEM. The results indicated that Nickel affected reducing particle size α and the intermetallic phases that formed during the shape memory test. Furthermore, Nickel contributed to improving the alloy's shape memory effect.
