Abstract
The article analyzes limitations in English ability in the communication process in maritime search and rescue in Vietnam. At the same time, it studies international and national regulations (COMSAR/ Cir 37 and IAMSAR) related to Maritime Search and Rescue and comes up with remedial measures to improve communicative capacity for Vietnam search and rescue teams to coordinate search and rescue activities at sea.
