Abstract

The article focuses on the application of thermal batteries using phase change materials (PCM) to store thermal energy for portable mini air conditioners and conducting experiments with existing equipment at the laboratory. The thermal battery designed with a volume of 3.6 liters of PCM that can store 3.27kW of heat. Experiments have shown that mini air conditioning systems using thermal batteries can operate continuously for 30 minutes. From the experimental results, measures are proposed to extend the operating time and reduce the discharge time of thermal batteries.
