Abstract
This article has presented a thermal simulation model of a Lithium-ion battery module using numerical methods. The temperature of the battery cells affects each other when assembled in the module. The battery cells in the middle of the module have a higher temperature than the battery cells located on the outside. In uncooled conditions, the temperature of the battery cells increases to 40℃ after a 0.2 hour charging cycle. Increasing the efficiency of the convection heat transfer helps reduce the battery cell temperature to 35℃, which is within the allowable working limit of the battery.
