Abstract

Calculating to ensure the local strength of bridge deck structure is an important task in the construction and design of high-speed Catamaran ships. The continuous development of Catamaran fleet worldwide has led to a diversity in the design of bridge structures. This raises the issue of the influence of bridge deck shape on the local strength of the bridge deck structure of twin-hull ships. The present paper focuses on calculating and studying the local strength of the various bridge deck structure types currently in use by utilizing the finite element method (FEM) through Solidworks Simulation software.
