Abstract
Propeller shaft system alignment of ship is a complex problem that requires high precision. One of the important tasks when aligning the shaft system is determining the bearing load. The method of determining the supporting load by lifting jacks gives accurate results at low cost. The article focuses on studying the theory of the method for determining the bearing load using lifting jacks, developing a measurement process and applying calculations to the Fortune Navigator ship. The results of calculating the actual load showed that the actual load acting on the bearings is less than the allowable value, meeting the set of requirements.
