Abstract
With the fact that stock investing does not require large sums of capital or a lot of experience, stock investment has become a reasonable choice for young people who want to have an additional source of income. However, the stock market investment activities of young Vietnamese people today has not received much attention in comparison with developed countries in the world. In this paper, the authors research on the topic "Factors affecting Vietnamese youth’s decisions on stock investment: a factor analysis approach", with the aim of determining the factors that are likely to affect stock investment choices of young Vietnamese people between the ages of 18 and 35. We use exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method and multivariate regression method to recognize and evaluate the influence of potential factors on the research object. Through the research, the authors identified 04 groups of influencing factors including: Personal goals and expectations; Personality; Views on stock investment; and Knowledge.
