Abstract

The article are presented on the microstructure of titanium welds using TiAl6V4 alloy compensating wire. The results show that the diffusion of Al element from the compensation wire region to the titanium metal region. After heat treatment (annealing, quenching and aging) the structure of the weld is the α phases; β and widmanstatten. The phase β has fine. Moreover, the microstructure has intermetallic phase. After heat treatment, The hardness’s value is higher than before heat treatment. The value of strength achieved is 8486MPa.
