Abstract
During milling, the cutting mode has a direct effect on the chip shape and surface roughness of the mould. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the appropriate cutting mode to achieve the roughness of the mould surface when milling UHMWPE material. This paper studies the influency of cutting parameters including feed rate (f), cutting speed (V) and cutting depth (t) which affect to chip shape and surface roughness when machining mould on X.Mill-900 CNC milling machines. In this research, theoretical and experimental methods which used to analyze and predict chip shape and surface roughness of mould.
