Abstract

This paper presents the effect of temperature and aging time on the microstructure and mechanical properties of CuAl9Fe4 alloy. When changing the aging temperature from 250 to 550oC and the aging time from 01 hour to 03 hours, the maximum hardness value reaches 99.5HRB after aging at 350oC for 02 hours and the mass loss reaches 0.1239g. This result is similar to the result of design of experiments (DoE). After aging at 350oC for 2 hours, the microstructure of the alloy includes of  matrix is solid solution - α phase; fine γ2 and Fe3Al phases disperse in the α matrix - α phase.
