Abstract
Fuel additive is used to improve fuel properties and/or improve combustion process in internal combustion engine. This paper presents testing results of new generation nano-emulsion fuel additive in diesel (DO) on a Huyndai D4BB diesel engine. Among the different concentration of additive in diesel, it shows that at fulload curve the additive concentration of 1/8000 is the most reasonable that helps to increase averagely engine power by 2,7% and to reduce fuel consumption, CO, NOx emissions, smoke by 2,6%, 10,8%, 12,1%, 5,5% respectively as compared to diesel without additive. Also, at different loads at speed of 2000 rpm, on average fuel consumption of the engine fueled by diesel with this additive concentration reduce by 2,0%, and CO, NOx emissions and smoke reduce by 8,3%, 11,2% and 3,1%, respectively.
