Abstract
Scramjet engine is the engine with air circulation and operate in the range of 4 to 8 Mach numbers. Scientists today are improving the old version to make a new scramjet engine with the combustion both subsonic and supersonic flow. Therefore, it causes pseudo flows from the combustor to inlet of engine, this phenomenon harms to the inlet and may turn off the engine. There are many methods to reduce this harmful phenomenon, such as putting a pipe segment length is calculated in front of the combustor and behind the inlet, this region known as isolator. This article described the phenomena occurring in isolated areas, the theoretical calculations related to supersonic boundary layer phenomena and shock wave. So the phenomenon is very complex, simulate this phenomenon using numerical simulation tool ANSYS FLUENT to better explain the phenomenon and offering the reasonable design-oriented calculations.
