Abstract
To monitor the remained fuel on board when the ship running at sea is a very difficult work for the crew, as well as the shipping companies because the fuel level in the tanks is difficult to measure accurately in the oscilating condition due to sea waves. The article studies the method of measuring tanks by Radar tested with various shacking conditions. The fuel level in the tank is calculated using Kalman filter algorithm to give the correct fuel level in the tank. Fuel quantity data is sent to the monitoring center by IoT technology. Experimental results show that the fuel level in the tank is accurately measured at various shacking conditions of the fuel tank.
