Abstract

The paper introduces modelling of hybrid single-stage vapor-compression refrigeration cycle for air-conditioning with a heat addition process to reduce compression work by utilizing low quality heat source such as solar energy. Traditional cycle was formulated by using Coolpack. Then, outputs of the cycle were used for modelling of the hybrid cycle on Engineering Equation Solver (EES).
