Aims and Scope

The Journal of Marine Science and Technology (ISSN: 1859-316X), managed by Vietnam Maritime University, is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes high-quality research in marine science, technology, engineering, economics, and maritime and marine economic policies.

The journal serves as a prestigious academic platform, connecting scientists and experts, fostering the dissemination of new research, technological solutions, and policies for the sustainable development of the maritime and marine economy. Theoretical studies should be practically oriented, with priority given to research with high applicability.

1. Maritime Engineering and Technology

  • Design, construction, operation, and maintenance of ships and offshore structures.
  • Offshore engineering, floating structures, hydrodynamics, wave mechanics, wave-structure interaction; construction of bridges, ports, and waterways; structural materials and foundation engineering.
  • Marine mechanical engineering, propulsion systems, electrical and electronic engineering, maritime automation, and control systems in maritime transportation.

2. Digital Technology, Automation, and Maritime Applications

  • AI, Big Data, IoT, and blockchain applications in transportation.

Publication Fee for Non-Vietnam Maritime University Authors

According to Clause 29.5 of the Regulations on Expenditure for Publishing the Journal of Marine Science and Technology, as stipulated in Article 29 of the Internal Expenditure Regulation of Vietnam Maritime University (issued under Decision No. 1756/QĐ-ĐHHHVN dated September 29, 2017), the publication fee for authors outside Vietnam Maritime University is set at 1,000,000 VND (in words: One million Vietnamese dong).
